The Expecting Ewes
Lone Star ewes are always expecting. They are expecting lambs. They are expecting to be
fed. They are always expecting the best. We deliver and so do they. Turn about is fair play.
Show Me 2, the Grand Dam seen here,
and her daughter, Show Off 2, are the epitome of what we look for in a ewe. Good conformation, good bloodlines, good temperaments, and good motherly instincts that they continue to pass down to their daughters and granddaughters generation after generation.
Above is Show off 2. She came to us as #19 and we soon registered her as Show Off 2 in keeping with her mother's name. She is the daughter of Show Me 2 and Hershey who were both originally owned by Charles Beam and later by The Hatleys of Arkansas. That is why we sometimes refer to that group as our Arkansas line to differentiate between them and our VSU (Virginia State University) stock. Show Off has been bred to Fabio.
These two ewes along with the two rams we purchased from the Hatleys, Ramses and Amram were the beginning of the Lone Star line.
